Dagupan Fish Processing Facility opens to promote bangus

Dagupan City opened its first ever fish processing facility that aims to promote bangus products through different fish processing procedure at the ground floor of Malimgas public market in Galvan Street on June 20.


Hon. Mayor Belen Fernandez spearheaded the opening of fish processing facility with the presence of the young city officials led by the young city mayor Jillian Kaye Fernandez and young city agriculturist Angelica Rama as part of Manlingkor Na Kalangweran program. The different fish processing procedures that can be performed with bangus were deboning, smoking, vacuum packing and freezing.


This newly established facility intends to boost the production and sales of bangus (milkfish) which is known as the main product of Dagupan City. It also encourages people to buy local products to support fishermen as one of its campaign.
