Bayambang honors cab driver
A Bayambagueño cab driver was recognized when he returned a pouch he found in his backseat containing 50,000 pesos, credit cards, and other identification cards.
Michael Galsim, a native of Bongato East, Bayambang and a former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), has found the pouch and immediately went to the program of Tulfo brothers to ask for help in communicating with the owner. The owner of the pouch, Choi Jin Hyeok, was a Korean businessman based in Manila for more than two years. Choi thanked the driver for his goodness and gave Galsim 10 percent of the money as a reward. Galsim hesitated to accept the reward but Choi insisted saying he deserved it.
After the incident, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bayambang led by Hon. Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao recognized Galsim and handed him a certificate and a token in honor of his honesty and for being a good example to fellow Bayambagueños.
