Alaminos celebrates Cooperative Month 2017
The city government of Alaminos joined the Cooperative Month celebration by having a program with the theme “COOPERATIVE: Empowering the Poor and the Vulnerable Towards Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development” which was held in Barangay Pocal-Pocal watershed on October 4.
The main activity of the program was the tree-planting headed by Agriculturist II and Forester Gester Tolentino who also gave a brief talk in the proper way of holding and planting trees and how to continuously nurture it. Officers and members of the city’s Farmer, Fisherfolk, and Irrigators Incorporated along with the council members and residents of neighboring communities participated in the said activity.
The City Cooperatives Office (CCO) headed by Mr. Solomon Tablang, Cooperative Development Specialist II Myla Castuera, and Alaminos City Mayor Art Celeste organized the event.
