Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manaoag (CSJL) held their Binyag Arriba where the students have been baptized together last June 23.
More than 700 students and employees participated and renewed their vows in Binyag Arrriba. According to Mrs. Julieta D. Palma, event organizer of Binyag Arriba, the purpose of Binyag Arriba was to welcome the new comers or new students and orient them about the history of the school and the meaning behind the logo, the leaf, and knight. Binyag Arriba was annually celebrated not only in Manaoag but also on other Colegio de San Juan de Letran schools as a way of celebrating the feast of St. John the Baptist.
Palma said: “There was an improvement from last year’s Binyag Arriba because the new Letranites were more participative and that they were able to embrace the ways of Letran solemnly as a Dominican school.”
