A total of 48 couples tied the knot in a mass wedding held at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Church in Calasiao, Pangasinan around 3 p.m. on June 25.
The mass wedding was part of this year's feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on June 29. This program was organized to make the parishioners more active and involved and was part of responding to the challenge of "Year of the Parish". The mass wedding was spearheaded by Family Life Ministry (FLM) and the Marriage Life Apostolate (MLA) with the coordination of the different barangay pastoral council.
The purpose of the event is to give opportunity to all catholic couples who might not have received yet the sacrament of matrimony. This was a chance for them to receive the blessing from God and the church.
