Parents petitioned the restriction of consuming and buying of junk foods of the students inside the school to the officials and teachers of Pangasinan School Division I.
The bandwagon about restricting junk foods inside the school premises are now attracting attention as parents were alarmed of their child’s health. According to Dr. Fernandez, Schools Superintendent Supervisor, parents should also help discipline their children and control their child’s purchase of junk foods within and outside the school campus. Soft drinks, candies, chips, and other junk foods were already banned and only healthy foods are allowed in all schools of the said division.
Fernandez also added: “We have ensured the support of the officials in restricting items that can be sold outside the school. To ensure full compliance, the division formed a monitoring team for all schools with the directive.”
