University of Pangasinan Digital Arts Students’ Organization (UPDASO) led by chairman Jae Florence Corales, conducted a one-day seminar on basic Photoshop “pen tool” editing dubbed as “Project PENTOOL” on July 1 at the PHINMA-University of Pangasinan.

The "pen tool" is the most flexible tool in Photoshop for it can create shapes and patterns. According to Corales, the main purpose of the seminar is to teach College of Information Technology Education (CITE) students on how to manipulate pen tool. Because Corales himself, saw the struggle of IT students in editing especially on their thesis’ system mock-ups.

Mark Quinto, a Civil Engineering student, when asked why he participated said:

"…because Photoshop is an interesting thing. If you can see, Civil Engineering is different from Photoshop. We usually use AutoCAD and sketch-up... So for me, I participated in order to add or improve my skills which I could use in my field in the near future."

The other benefits in using pen tool are T-shirt designing, logo designing, movie posters designing, and the most popular-portraiture, vector art. “It may be hard at first, but you’ll get used to it,” Corales said.
