Social Media Day celebrated

Social Media Day with the hashtag NEXTPH was held at Robinsons Place, Calasiao, Pangasinan with the participation of bloggers, artists, schools, and universities in Northern Luzon on July 4.

Social Media Day was launched to recognize and celebrate the impact of social media on global communication. Social media is very relevant in today’s generation for it allows and empowers people especially millennial, to share and create things in a more prolific way. There were bloggers and artists who shared their skills and knowledge on how to handle social media responsibly and somehow earn a living through it.

Relyn Manuel, a blogger from Baguio City said: “… hindi lang siya hobby pero source of living din, hindi lang iyon ang gusto kong ma-achieve pero gusto kong i-explore ang sarili ko at passion ko on beauty, lifestyle, and local at ma-research ito for my audience to learn about it as well. For aspiring bloggers, huwag mong isipin agad iyong pag-momonitor ng blog mo [but] build your content first kasi from there, doon mo makikita kung ano ‘yong pinagkaiba mo sa ibang bloggers, either you will add to the noise or will you share something different.”
