GEORGIA – A 5-foot by 3-foot American flag that was made up of 10,000 tiny plastic Army men trended online when the photos was posted on Facebook on the fourth of July in honor of the 241st Independence Day of US.

The pieces of Army men painted in red, white, and blue was put together to form the stars and stripes flag of United States. The artist, Greg Smith of LaGrange, posted his creative work on Facebook.

In order to complete the 5-foot-by-3-foot flag, Smith ordered more than 10,000 of the little figurines online. The flag took a year to complete with Smith putting the pieces together in his spare time. According to him, he made the flag as a tribute to the nation’s soldiers because his family members also served in the Army and Navy.

Smith said: “I kind of did it to honor them, with them being in the military.” “I didn’t know what I was getting into but it’s amazing how it turned out,” he added.
