Special non-working holidays for 2018 released

It’s official. The Malacañang Palace released the list of special non-working holidays for the year 2018 last July 19.
President Rodrigo Duterte signed the Proclamation No. 269 and was released to the public after. Long weekends will be expected where Filipino workers and students can use these holidays to spend time on their loved ones or even have a vacation. The Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha will soon release its official dates after determining the Islamic holidays.
For guidelines, here are the regular holidays:
New Year’s Day - January 1
Maundy Thursday - March29
Good Friday - March 30
Araw ng Kagitingan - April 9
Labor Day - May 1
Independence Day - June 12
National Heroes’ Day - August 27
Bonifacio Day - November 30
Christmas Day - December 25
Rizal Day - December 30
These are the special non-working holidays:
Chinese New Year - February 16
EDSA People Power Anniversary - February 25
Black Saturday - March 31
Ninoy Aquino Day - August 21
All Saints’ Day - November 1
Last day of the year - December 31
Additional special (non-working) days:
All Souls’ Day - November 2
Christmas Eve - December 24
