'Kita Kita' earns P200-M on second week

Kita Kita, the most talked about romantic comedy of the year, has now reached a total gross of P200 million on its second week.
Sigrid Andrea Bernardo’s film earned P33 million in its opening day on July 19 and already reached the P90 million mark on its first week. The movie produced by Spring Films exceeded expectations by winning big in the box office.
Kita Kita is rom-com movie about Lea, played by Alessandra De Rossi, a Filipino tour guide living and working in Sapporo. When Lea discovered that her Japanese boyfriend has been cheating on her, she suffered from temporary blindness. Tonyo, played by Empoy Marquez, suddenly makes an appearance. As the story unfolds, the determination of Tonyo is starting to thaw Lea’s frozen heart. The unexpected twists and turns of the movie keep moviegoers coming back in theatres to watch it again.
With the continuous support of the fans, Alempoy tandem proved to be a big hit with Filipinos. Kita Kita is still showing in 120 cinemas nationwide.
