Brgy. Unity for Zonal River Clean-Up, proper garbage segregation in Calasiao

Calasiao Solid Waste Management Office (SWMO) conducted "Barangay Unity for Zonal River Clean-Up" and implemented proper garbage segregation together with the LGU-Calasiao, PNP, different private sectors, and concerned residents of Calasiao along the stretch of Marusay and Parongking rivers, involving the 16 barangays traversed by the rivers last July 12.

Calasiao SWMO informed the residents on how to properly dispose their garbage by implementing "Basura ko, responsibilidad ko; Kaya aayusin ko para makolekta ito” or ‘No Segregation, No Collection' policy in observance of the National Resilience Month and R.A. 9003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.

Public cooperation is the key according to Vice Mayor Mesina and added: “The river will surely be clean again in town especially Marusay, Parongking and Bued River due to the cooperation of residents. Also, each barangay will have separate garbage segregation.”
