Air Titans won CSS Palaro Men’s Volleyball Championship

Air Titans defeated the Fire Titans in the men’s volleyball championship of the College of Social Sciences (CSS) Palaro 2017 on August 24 at the PHINMA-University of Pangasinan Gymnasium.

The Criminology department (Air Titans) defended their title against the AB Communication (Fire Titans) team when they won in a thrilling five-set match. The Air Titans won the first and third set but the Fire Titans didn’t give them a sweet road to victory when they snatched the second and fourth set. The fifth and deciding set was a tight one with the Fire Titans leading as much as two points but the Air Titans came back and stole the momentum and finally winning the match with 16-18 as final score.

Fire Titans team captain, Nathaniel Ugaban, scored 40 points but not enough to surpass the teamwork shown by the Air Titans. Nonetheless, both teams showed resiliency and camaraderie in playing the sport they both love.
