Alaminos Culture and Arts Council attends seminar workshop
Alaminos City government’s Culture and Arts Council attended the three-day Division Seminar Workshop on the development of culture based learning materials and activities for public school teachers in Alaminos City National High School on August 27-29.
This three-day activity was facilitated by Miss Ricamela Palis, a member of National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) National Committee on Cultural Education Executive Committee and also the director for Culture and Arts of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba. Dr. Orlando Guerrero, Education Program Supervisor, encouraged the participants to use this learning opportunity as an avenue in deepening and strengthening the level of awareness of everyone in the cultural aspect not only for the purpose to comply with the curriculum, but at the same time preserving the beauty of Philippine culture for the benefit of the next generation.
Another highlight of the said activity was the sharing of selected teachers from various schools, where they thanked the NCAA for organizing such training in which they can use the information that they learned as an effective and efficient tool in creating instructional materials for their students. They also extended their sincerest gratitude to Miss Palis for her passion in her craft which motivates them to give a deeper attention and emphasis on the cultural heritage and resources of the country.
