The record-breaking new single of Taylor Swift, “Look What You Made Me Do”, skyrocketed at the top of the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart on September 5 which initially debuted at No. 77 spot.
The song was the lead single of the singer’s upcoming album entitled “Reputation”. It was the fifth number one song of Swift in the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart history replacing “Despacito” on its 16-week run at number 1. According to forbes.com, Swift also shattered the previous record for the largest streaming week of 2017 with 84.4 million streams on its first week.
The 84.4 million streams in US alone, also set the record for Swift as the most played in a single tracking frame for a woman of all time. The previous record-holder for the most streams in a week racked up by a female singer was Adele back in 2015 which garnered 61.6 million plays for her song “Hello”.
