Calasiao celebrates World Rabies Day

The LGU (Local Government Unit) of Calasiao celebrated World Rabies Day in Calasiao Plaza on September 8 which was spearheaded by Mayor Joseph Arman C. Bauzon and the Team of Oma Calasiao headed by Dra. Monette Noguit in partnership with Philippine Veterinary Medical Association, Philippine Animal Hospital Association, and Humane Society International.

Optimal health services were provided for dogs and cats. Medication, consultation, prevention of tick and fleas, and vaccination were offered by trained veterinarians who also conducted spraying and neutering of domestic animals. The celebration of World Rabies Day in Calasiao was an opportunity to unite the community and to increase awareness about rabies and rabies prevention.

Mayor Bauzon assured that the event will continue its service every year and will uphold its advocacy for Calasiao to be an animal-friendly community.
